Landrover Lightweight FFR. 1980.
2.25 petrol engine that has been converted to 12volt system.
Military Registration No. 20HF48
I have a copy of its military history card to show its service use.
Rover Power Plus conversion.
Stage 2 Unleaded head including bigger valves,
fully gas flowed with improved manifolds and SU carburettor .
These conversions make a big difference ,
giving more horse power and torque.
Dual Fuel Lpg. or Petrol
Registered and certified gas conversion.
Large internal LPG tank with external filler.
Twin military petrol tanks.
I have bills for the conversion work totaling £ 3443
Ex Eng. disc handbrake conversion.
Apart from the above improvements this is a very original truck,
still retaining many of its army radio fittings and equipment.
The gearbox, hi and low ratio, and four wheel drive,
Axles and brakes
all work as they should.
It has a good solid chassis, solid bulkhead
and an as new vent panel.
The military spec soft top is also in good condition.
I have many bills and old Mot. certificates for it.
All in all it is a good example,
it does have signs of military use but wears it well.
It drives nice, benefiting greatly from the Power Plus Conversion,
and the parabolic springs.
